MCL is set to commence works at St. Dympnas Hospital Carlow, following damage by fire and smoke. St. Dympna’s Hospital, which provides a wide range of Services including, Clinics, Assessment Services, Counselling Services, Administration, Day Hospital and out of hours Call Service will continue in use throughout the period of the Works.
MCL will be refurbishing and reinstating the damaged hospital in several phases that must be carefully programmed and managed. The hospital was devastated by fire, smoke and water. These areas will require complete stripping out and repairs/refurbishment.
In addition, the building has extensive smoke damage which will require cosmetic repairs. The entire building will be getting an advanced fire detection and alarm system with emergency and exit lighting. This project will require extensive mechanical and electrical installation. We look forward to working with the staff at St. Dympna’s Hospital to restore this vital building for the residents of Carlow.
