Description: Mythen’s scope of works included, partial demolish of existing school, the Construction of a of a single storey 735m2 extension comprising of two classrooms, a G.P. room/Sports Hall, administration rooms and ancillary accommodation and to carry out associated alterations and refurbishments to the remainder of the existing school (395m²) including, replacing and renovating the existing windows, roof finishes, strip out and replace internal finishes and all associated drainage and site-works.
The key challenge of the project was the phasing of the new works with the existing building and keeping the school fully operational. This was co-ordinated by Mythen Construction’s Contracts Manager, working in tandem with the design Team and end user. The quality and expertise of Mythen’s management and contract management and administration made this possible.
All works were carried out to department of education specification and to the satisfaction of the Architect and the school board of management. The project was completed on-time and on-budget.
